When you join, you’ll be asked to fill in a simple health questionnaire designed to let us know whether there is anything that might affect the range and type of exercises that you can take.
The staff will then discuss your goals with you and design an exercise programme to help you achieve them. We then take you through the programme on a one-to-one basis to teach you how to use the equipment and how to do the exercises.
Eventually any exercise regime will “plateau”, that is reach a point where you no longer see any real improvement. How long before this happens depends on how fit you are and what your goals are but we like to review your programme every eight weeks or so.
Alternatively, if you already have an exercise regime that you do, then once we’ve shown you how to use the equipment you’re perfectly free to do your own workout - even so, we might be able to suggest a few improvements.
Just ask! The staff are always ready to answer questions you might have about exercise and to provide advice.
